Every university sets its own bar per programme, so this range is a guide, never a promise. Aim ten points above your target cutoff in practice; exam-day nerves cost about that much.

Study plan

A four-week OMPT-F study plan

Four weeks is enough for most students who can give it an hour a day. This is the OMPT-F order I use with my own students.

  1. Week 1

    Algebra and quadratics. Write full solutions, not shortcuts, from the first day.

  2. Week 2

    Functions in depth: domain, transformations, rational and inverse functions.

  3. Week 3

    Exponentials, logarithms, and differentiation rules.

  4. Week 4

    Applications of derivatives, then two full three-hour mocks.

Solve (x + 3)² = 16 and give the greater of the two solutions.
